All-rounder Liam Livingstone said he was abandoned by England’s cricket leadership after being dropped last May following the Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
The 32-year-old has not played for England since scoring 33 runs and taking three wickets across three matches in that tournament.
Livingstone called it the “worst experience” of his career. Coach Brendon McCullum informed him of his omission in a one-minute phone call. Harry Brook texted him. Rob Key said nothing until late September - after Livingstone personally called him during a Test camp at Loughborough.
"If you’re in, you’re in. If you’re not in, no one cares about you," Livingstone said.
He added he asked for help but was told only: "You care too much - chill out."
The England and Wales Cricket Board declined to comment outside UK business hours.
