Lionel Messi will be immortalized at Inter Miami’s new Nu Stadium with the 'Leo Messi Stand'-a rare tribute to a player still active.

Traditionally reserved for retired legends, the honor breaks protocol, reflecting Messi's immediate and transformative impact on the club.

The 26,700-seat stadium opens April 4 when Inter Miami hosts Austin FC.

Since joining in 2023, Messi has led the David Beckham-co-owned team to three major titles: the 2023 Leagues Cup, 2024 Supporters' Shield, and last year’s MLS Cup.

He is the club’s all-time leader with 82 goals and 53 assists in 94 appearances. Earlier this month, Messi scored his 900th career goal, becoming only the second men’s player after Cristiano Ronaldo to do so.
