Robert Lewandowski is leaving Barcelona at the end of the season, ending his four-year tenure with the club. The 37-year-old Polish striker helped Barcelona secure three LaLiga titles during his time there, scoring 119 goals in all competitions.
Lewandowski, whose contract expires this summer, reportedly has offers from Saudi Arabia, Italy, and the United States.
In an Instagram post Saturday, Lewandowski wrote, 'After four years full of challenges and hard work, it’s time to move on. I leave with the feeling that the mission is complete.' He added, 'I will never forget the love I received from the fans... Catalonia is my place on Earth.'
This season, injuries limited Lewandowski to just 15 starts in 29 LaLiga appearances, scoring 13 goals. His late substitute appearance came in Barcelona’s 2-0 win over Real Madrid to clinch the league title, following his goal in a 2-1 win at Osasuna that set up the championship.
Barcelona concludes its campaign with matches against Real Betis and Valencia.
