New Tottenham manager Roberto de Zerbi remains optimistic about the team's Premier League survival chances despite a late equalizer from Brighton & Hove Albion resulting in a 2-2 draw. The match, which saw Xavi Simons score for Tottenham, ended their 15-game winless streak in the league.
Despite being in 18th place with 31 points, De Zerbi insists the squad possesses the quality to win their remaining five games. "We have the quality enough to fight and win games in a row," he stated.
De Zerbi, Tottenham's third manager this season, emphasized the need to build a positive mentality. "The crucial part is to keep this mentality," he added, highlighting the players' "blood and character" shown in the draw.
The team was bolstered by the return of midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, and playmaker James Maddison was on the bench. Tottenham's next fixture is against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
