Michael Carrick steered Manchester United to a third-place Premier League finish with a 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest, but the interim boss deflected questions about his future, saying clarity will come “in a few days.”

Appointed in January, Carrick led the team to Champions League qualification, calling the turnaround a significant achievement. He praised Bruno Fernandes, who tied the Premier League assist record with his 20th, highlighting the midfielder's team-first mentality.

Carrick also backed Harry Maguire, Kobbie Mainoo, and Luke Shaw for England World Cup call-ups, though he admitted he has little influence. England manager Thomas Tuchel will announce his squad on Friday.
