Manchester United has made Michael Carrick their permanent head coach, rewarding him with a new contract after guiding the club to a third-place finish in the Premier League.
The 44-year-old former United player took over on an interim basis in January following Ruben Amorim's dismissal. He led the team to Champions League qualification with a strong run of form.
"From the moment I arrived here 20 years ago, I felt the magic of Manchester United," Carrick said. "Now it's time to move forward together again, with ambition and a clear sense of purpose."
United will return to the Champions League next season after missing European football this term.
