The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed Brendon McCullum will remain head coach across all three formats, despite a string of poor performances and growing scrutiny over team culture.

Ben Stokes will retain the Test captaincy with Harry Brook as vice-captain. Rob Key will continue as managing director of England's men's cricket after an internal review prompted by a 4-1 Ashes loss in Australia.

England exited the T20 World Cup in the semi-finals under Brook’s leadership, while past off-field incidents-including Brook’s nightclub altercation in New Zealand-have lingered as distractions.

All-rounder Liam Livingstone has publicly criticized the team environment, claiming the current leadership does not support players outside the core group. ECB chief executive Richard Gould defended the leadership, praising their commitment and ambition.

McCullum, whose contract runs through the 2025 50-over World Cup, is credited with pioneering the aggressive 'Bazball' philosophy. Rob Key insists the approach needs evolution, not abandonment.

"There's no point in keeping Brendon McCullum if you want him to completely change," Key said, emphasizing authenticity in leadership.

England will host New Zealand and India in a series of Test and limited-overs matches starting this summer.
