MANCHESTER, England - Defender Harry Maguire has signed a new contract extending his stay at Manchester United through 2027, with an option for another year.
The 33-year-old England international, who joined the Premier League club in 2019 for a record £80 million fee, has made 266 appearances and helped secure the FA Cup and League Cup.
"Representing Manchester United is the ultimate honour," Maguire said. "I am delighted to extend my journey at this incredible club to at least eight seasons."
After a challenging period, including losing the captaincy, Maguire has regained his place under interim manager Michael Carrick and helped the team rise to third in the league.
"Harry represents the mentality and resilience to perform for Manchester United," said Director of Football Jason Wilcox. "He is the ultimate professional who brings invaluable leadership to our young, ambitious squad."
