Manchester United defender Harry Maguire will miss the upcoming Premier League match against Chelsea. The English Football Association issued a one-match ban following a misconduct charge. Maguire, who recently extended his contract until 2027, admitted to improper conduct towards a match official after being sent off last month.
He has also been fined 30,000 pounds. In a separate incident, centre back Lisandro Martinez will miss the next three games, including the Chelsea fixture, due to a red card for violent conduct. Martinez was sent off for pulling the hair of Leeds striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
United, currently third in the league, faces sixth-placed Chelsea on Saturday.
