Tottenham Hotspur forward Mohammed Kudus has sustained a setback in his recovery from a quad injury, the Premier League club announced Thursday. The Ghana international was injured in January and was initially expected to return in March.
Ghanaian media reports suggest Kudus will be sidelined for another three months, casting doubt on his participation in the upcoming World Cup. The club stated, "He had returned to team training during the past week, however will now require further specialist review and, potentially, surgery."
Kudus joined Spurs from West Ham United and has made 19 Premier League appearances this season, scoring twice and providing five assists.
