Mexico and Belgium drew 1-1 in a World Cup warm-up friendly at Soldier Field in Chicago on Tuesday.
Jorge Sanchez opened the scoring for Mexico in the 19th minute from a corner kick. Belgium equalized just before halftime through Dodi Lukebakio’s long-range strike.
Both teams made multiple substitutions in the second half as they prepared for final World Cup squad selections.
Belgium, who recently beat the U.S. 5-2, will face Croatia on June 2. Mexico plays Ghana on May 22 in another friendly.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup runs from June 11 to July 19 and will be hosted by Mexico, the U.S., and Canada.
