The 2026 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament field was revealed Sunday night, with UConn named the No. 1 overall seed.
The undefeated Huskies, led by Sarah Strong (18.5 PPG) and Azzi Fudd (17.7 PPG), seek their 13th national title. Dawn Staley’s South Carolina Gamecocks earned a No. 1 seed in Region 4, finishing 31-3 and winning the SEC Championship. Joyce Edwards leads with 19.6 PPG, while Madina Okot averages 13.4 points and 10.9 rebounds.
UCLA, led by Lauren Betts (16.4 PPG, 8.6 RPG, 1.6 BPG), enters as a top contender after a 31-1 season. The Texas Longhorns, ranked No. 1 in their region, are paced by Madison Booker (18.9 PPG, 6.5 APG).
First Four games begin Wednesday, with the main tournament kicking off Friday and Saturday. The Final Four is set for April 3, with the championship game on April 5.
