Naomi Osaka continued her tradition of iconic Grand Slam fashion at the French Open, stepping onto Court Suzanne Lenglen in a stunning black corset and pleated skirt over a glittering gold sequined dress. The outfit, she said, made her feel like "the Eiffel Tower at night when it's sparkly."

The four-time Grand Slam champion backed up the look on court, defeating Germany's Laura Siegemund 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) to advance to the second round.

The black outer pieces were designed by sustainable fashion designer Kevin Germanier, while the gold dress was custom made by Nike. Top seed Aryna Sabalenka, watching from the stands, praised Osaka's confidence, saying, "That's the beauty of the fashion world. I love that she's bringing it on court."

Osaka, who returned to the top 20 after giving birth in 2023, will face Croatia's Donna Vekic next.
