CALGARY - Victor Olofsson scored his first goal as a Flame to help Calgary defeat the Florida Panthers 4-1 Friday night.
Joel Farabee, Morgan Frost and Matt Coronato also found the net, each reaching 16 goals on the season. All three now share the team lead with Blake Coleman.
A.J. Greer scored Florida’s lone goal but was later ejected after shoving Connor Zary headfirst into the boards. Greer received a hooking minor, an interference major and a game misconduct.
Zary remained down several minutes before skating off with assistance from the trainer. Calgary capitalized with two power-play goals during the extended advantage.
Dustin Wolf stopped 24 shots for the win, while Daniil Tarasov made 32 saves in a losing effort.
Late in the third, Niko Mikkola appeared to suffer a serious left knee injury after an accidental collision with Ryan Strome. Mikkola did not put weight on the leg when helped off.
The Flames have now won seven straight home games against Florida. The Panthers last won at Scotiabank Saddledome on February 17, 2018.
Calgary wins consecutive games for the first time since February.
