Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has indicated his willingness to join the national team's coaching staff. Pietersen, 45, believes he can help alter England's approach to Test cricket, especially following their recent Ashes defeat.
He told The Guardian that a more measured strategy is needed in the longest format of the game, contrasting it with the 'play without fear' mentality suitable for shorter formats. Pietersen suggested that England's current aggressive tactics, dubbed 'Bazball,' may not be appropriate for Test matches.
England's cricket team, which was recently eliminated from the T20 World Cup, is set to host New Zealand for a three-match Test series in June.
