The Oklahoma City Thunder's 15-game playoff win streak came to a halt Monday night. Victor Wembanyama delivered a historic performance-41 points, 24 rebounds, three blocks-to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 122-115 double-overtime victory in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
Wembanyama forced the first overtime with a turnaround three with 11 seconds left. MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander answered with a tying layup at the buzzer. In double overtime, Wembanyama scored nine points, and San Antonio's defense sealed the win.
Rookie guard Dylan Harper added 24 points, 11 rebounds, and seven steals. The Spurs played without veteran guard De'Aaron Fox. Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 24 points on 7-of-23 shooting. Game 2 is set for Wednesday.
