WARSAW, March 26 - Poland rallied from behind to defeat Albania 2-1, advancing to the World Cup playoff final. Arber Hoxha gave Albania an early lead just before halftime, slotting home after a defensive error.
Poland responded in the second half. Robert Lewandowski equalized with a powerful header from a corner in the 63rd minute. Piotr Zielinski sealed the win ten minutes later with a blistering strike from outside the box.
Albania squandered a golden chance to double their lead when Nedim Bajrami missed an open net.
Poland remains undefeated in World Cup playoffs, having qualified for the last two tournaments via the same path. They now face Sweden on Tuesday in the Path B final.
