Pickleball world number one Anna Leigh Waters is set to make her international debut next month at the PPA Tour Asia's Hanoi Cup in Vietnam. The event, scheduled for April 1-5, highlights the sport's ongoing global expansion.

Waters, who holds the top ranking in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles on the Carvana PPA Tour, will compete in women's doubles with Anna Bright and in mixed doubles with Ben Johns. The tournament at My Dinh Indoor Athletics Arena will offer 1,000 ranking points to champions.

"I am honored to be part of the first PPA Tour Asia event in Hanoi,” Waters stated. Following the competition, Waters will travel to Ho Chi Minh City to lead clinics and a showcase event in partnership with Franklin Sports.

Waters has become a prominent figure in pickleball's rapid rise in popularity, turning professional at 12 and dominating the circuit.
