Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde is sidelined for up to two weeks after a head injury sustained during a training ground altercation with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni.
The club confirmed Valverde suffered a head trauma and is now recovering at home. Real Madrid opened disciplinary proceedings against both players following the incident at the Valdebebas training ground.
Valverde apologized on social media, stating the situation was an argument during which he accidentally knocked over a table. The team's season has been tumultuous, with a managerial change and a Champions League exit, trailing Barcelona in the league.
