Ronda Rousey will step back into the MMA cage this Saturday after a nine-year hiatus, facing fellow pioneer Gina Carano at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The fight, promoted by Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions, marks her farewell.

Rousey, the UFC Hall of Famer who retired in 2016, said the idea came while nine months pregnant, seeing Carano at a low point. Inspired by Mike Tyson's late-career return, she decided this fight would benefit both women and the sport. She promised her husband and sister this will be her final fight.

Rousey credits Carano as the reason for her return, calling her the only person in women's MMA she owes everything. She said she wants to show Carano 'the monster that she created' and insists victory will only come from her 'cold, dead fingers.'
