Raheem Sterling is set to leave Feyenoord when the current season concludes, as the Dutch club has reportedly ruled out a contract extension for the former Manchester City and Chelsea winger.

The 31-year-old joined Rotterdam with high expectations but has struggled to make a significant impact. He has accumulated only 333 minutes of league action since his arrival on a short-term deal. Despite maintaining a professional attitude, his limited output has led Feyenoord to abandon plans for a longer stay.

Head coach Robin van Persie initially indicated a contract extension might be possible, but the club's hierarchy has now dismissed the idea. Sterling's struggles to find rhythm after a period of inactivity have led to minimal impact on the pitch. He is expected to make a maximum of four more appearances before his official farewell in mid-May.

Feyenoord remains in contention for a top-two finish in the Eredivisie to secure a direct spot in the Champions League, currently holding a narrow lead over their rivals.
