A heated exchange over sign-stealing allegations between NFL coaches Robert Saleh and Liam Coen is now in the past.

Saleh, formerly San Francisco 49ers’ defensive coordinator and now head coach of the Tennessee Titans, described the conflict as "water under the bridge" during the NFL’s annual league meetings.

The tension originated after Saleh publicly praised Coen’s staff for their adept use of legal sign-stealing tactics ahead of a 2025 Week 4 matchup. Coen took issue with the comment, leading to a verbal confrontation postgame.

Saleh admitted he used the “wrong choice of words” and emphasized his intent was complimentary. Coen agreed the matter was resolved, noting mutual respect between the two.

Now, with Saleh at the helm of the Tennessee Titans and Coen leading the Jacksonville Jaguars, the two will face off as divisional rivals in the AFC South.
