Pakistan has appointed former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed as the head coach of their Test team for an upcoming two-match series in Bangladesh. The appointment was announced by the country's cricket board.
Sarfaraz, who captained Pakistan to a Champions Trophy title in 2017, will take over the Test coaching reins. Umar Gul, a former teammate, will serve as the bowling coach.
The Pakistan squad for the series, which begins on May 8 in Dhaka, features four uncapped players: Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori. Shan Masood will continue as captain.
