PARIS, March 28 - Senegal defiantly displayed the Africa Cup of Nations trophy to fans before defeating Peru 2-0 in a World Cup warm-up game at Stade de France.

Nicolas Jackson opened the scoring just before halftime, while Ismaila Sarr added a second in the 54th minute.

This marked Senegal’s first victory since the Cup of Nations final in January, where they beat Morocco but were later stripped of the title by CAF.

The Confederation of African Football’s Appeal Board awarded Morocco the trophy after Senegal’s controversial 14-minute walk-off in Rabat.

Senegal continues to challenge the decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

In another friendly, Ivory Coast crushed South Korea 4-0 at Stadium MK.

Evann Guessand, Martial Godo, Simon Adingra, and Wilfried Singo scored for the Ivorians.

Both teams prepare for the upcoming World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the U.S., starting in June.
