Sporting Lisbon delivered a stunning comeback against Bodo/Glimt on Tuesday, winning 5-0 after extra time to secure a 5-3 aggregate victory and advance to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Goncalo Inacio headed Sporting ahead in the 34th minute from Francisco Trincao's corner. Pedro Goncalves then scored in the 61st minute before Luis Suarez leveled the tie with a penalty in the 78th. Maxi Araujo netted early in extra time, followed by Rafael Nel sealing the win.

"We always believed," said Araujo post-match. "This amazing crowd helped us create an unforgettable night."

Bodo/Glimt had eliminated Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, and Inter Milan earlier in their run but succumbed to Sporting’s relentless attack. The Norwegian side nearly scored before halftime, hitting the crossbar twice.

Sporting now advances to the next stage of Europe's elite competition.
