To mark Scotland's first World Cup appearance since 1998, the Bank of Scotland has released a limited-edition £20 note featuring an image inspired by Scott McTominay's overhead kick goal that secured qualification against Denmark.
Only 100 notes have been printed. Fifty will be available through collector auctions, a prize draw, and pop-up vaults in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Proceeds support Crisis Scotland, a homelessness charity.
McTominay, who plays for Napoli, said: "Moments like that belong to everyone who follows the team, so seeing my goal featured on a Scottish banknote feels incredibly special."
Emma Noble, chairwoman of the Bank of Scotland's Scottish executive committee, said the bank wanted to mark the qualification "in a way that's rooted in Scottish identity."
Scotland is grouped with Haiti, Morocco, and Brazil for this summer's tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
