Sunil Narine proved his mettle in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by bowling a sensational Super Over that secured a crucial victory for the Kolkata Knight Riders against Lucknow. The veteran spin-bowling all-rounder, in his 15th season with the team, was tasked with bowling the mini-innings after Lucknow forced a tie with a last-ball six.

Narine delivered immediately, dismissing Nicholas Pooran on his first ball. He followed up by conceding a single and then taking a wicket with the third delivery, effectively ending Lucknow's Super Over.

In response, Rinku Singh hit the winning boundary off the first ball, sealing Kolkata's second win in eight matches. This victory moves the three-time champions off the bottom of the 10-team league table.

"Sunny, you're going to bowl it," Narine recalled the coaching staff's instructions. "It's always a tough situation but I think it's a bit easier when you bowl a Super Over first." He described the dismissal of Pooran as one of his best deliveries, emphasizing its impact in a high-pressure moment.

Narine expressed happiness for the team's much-needed win, stating, "We have been struggling, and you need games like this to try to get momentum."
