The Oklahoma City Thunder will be shorthanded in Saturday's pivotal Game 7 against the San Antonio Spurs, as guard Jalen Williams has been ruled out with a lingering hamstring issue.

Williams initially aggravated his left hamstring in Game 2. He missed the next three games before returning for a limited 10-minute stint in Game 6, which the Thunder lost, forcing a winner-take-all matchup.

Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault praised Williams' effort, saying, "He's obviously not 100%. He just wants to do whatever he can to try to contribute. I give him a lot of credit to get himself out there. He did the best he could."

Williams, an All-Star and All-NBA player, underwent wrist surgery last offseason. He played in only 33 regular-season games before the playoffs.

The winner of Game 7 will face the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals.
