World champion Tadej Pogacar has won his third straight Liege-Bastogne-Liege title, his fourth overall, by outmaneuvering 19-year-old debutant Paul Seixas on the final climb. The Slovenian cyclist finished the 259.5-km race in five hours, 50 minutes, and 28 seconds, marking his 13th career monument victory and third of the year.
Pogacar, facing pressure to perform, expressed his satisfaction with the win in one of cycling's major races. Seixas, a French debutant, remained with Pogacar for much of the race, including during Pogacar's attack on the Cote de la Redoute. However, Pogacar ultimately accelerated away on the Cote de la Roche-aux-Faucons, with less than 14 km remaining, to secure the win.
Seixas finished 45 seconds behind Pogacar. Belgian rider Remco Evenepoel claimed third place in a sprint finish.
