Tickets for the upcoming World Cup Playoff tournament in Mexico are now on sale for as little as $11.33, FIFA announced.
The tournament will decide two of the final six nations to qualify for the 48-team World Cup, hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada from June 11 to July 19.
Iraq, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Bolivia, New Caledonia, Jamaica, and Suriname will compete at two World Cup final venues in Guadalajara and Monterrey.
These playoff ticket prices stand in sharp contrast to the finals, where higher costs have already drawn criticism from fans.
Regarding security, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum stated there is "no risk" to fans traveling to the country, following unrest near Guadalajara. Officials in Jalisco, the host state, confirmed enhanced security measures, with an additional 2,500 personnel deployed by the National Guard and Ministry of Defence.
