Matt Leinart has definitively shut down any possibility of USC unretiring his No. 11 jersey for a future recruit.

The Heisman Trophy winner and 2005 BCS national champion told reporters on his "Throwbacks" podcast that he was approached multiple times by USC officials to reconsider - but his answer was unequivocal: "Absolutely f---ing not."

"I am never going to unretire my jersey for some random dude who, by the way, now could wear No. 11 and transfer after a year," Leinart said.

Leinart, who led USC to just two losses in his entire college career, will only allow his sons - specifically Cole, currently at SMU - to wear the number if they ever join the Trojans.

"That is it," he said. "Or two of my boys if they end up going to USC and playing football."

A 2004 Heisman winner and 2017 College Football Hall of Fame inductee, Leinart was selected 10th overall in the 2006 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. His professional career ended in 2013.
