CARDIFF, Wales - Wales ended a 15-match Six Nations losing streak with a decisive 31-17 win over Italy on Saturday, scoring four tries to three.

A jubilant crowd of 70,000 at Principality Stadium celebrated Wales’ first Six Nations victory in 1,099 days-dating back to their last win over Italy three years ago.

Wales surged to a 21-0 halftime lead and extended it to 31-0 early in the second half before Italy rallied with three late tries.

Despite finishing bottom of the table, Wales earned a bonus point. They could avoid the wooden spoon if England suffer a heavy loss to France later Saturday in Paris.
