AI giant Anthropic said Monday it has confidentially filed for a US IPO, setting up what could be a watershed moment for Wall Street's AI frenzy. The move tests whether investor appetite for the AI revolution can match sky-high expectations.
Anthropic did not disclose the size or terms of the offering. It last raised $65 billion at a $965 billion valuation in late May, ahead of rival OpenAI. Valuation has more than doubled from $380 billion in February.
The IPO follows SpaceX's mega-IPO-a $75 billion offering at a $1.75 trillion valuation. OpenAI is also preparing to confidentially file in coming weeks, adding to a wave of blockbuster listings ahead.
