SAN FRANCISCO, March 23 - Amazon said its Amazon Web Services region in Bahrain has been "disrupted" amid ongoing Middle East conflict. The issue stems from drone activity near the facility, a company spokesperson confirmed.

AWS is assisting affected customers in migrating to alternate regions while recovery proceeds. No timeline or damage assessment was provided.

This marks the second recent disruption to the Bahrain region since the onset of U.S.-Israeli tensions with Iran. Earlier this month, facilities in Bahrain and the UAE faced power outages linked to regional instability.

AWS, Amazon’s cloud computing arm, powers major websites and government systems worldwide and represents the company’s primary profit center.
