Moonshot AI has launched Kimi K3, its latest AI model featuring a 1-million token context window. This capacity is a significant jump from its previous models, allowing the system to process entire books or codebases in a single prompt.
The model is built on a Mixture-of-Experts architecture, estimated at 2 to 3 trillion parameters. A key feature is its Agent Swarm technology, which enables the coordination of up to 300 sub-agents for complex tasks.
Early access began in mid-July. The company, founded in China in 2023, is positioning K3 to compete directly with leading Western models like Anthropic's Claude Opus.
