Nvidia and Hyundai Motor Group announced an expanded alliance in Seoul on June 8 to commercialize physical AI and robotics. The goal: transition humanoid robots like Boston Dynamics' Atlas from demos into factory-ready industrial products.

Hyundai will deploy a multi-billion-dollar AI supercomputer built on Nvidia's Blackwell architecture, using thousands of GPUs to train models for autonomous driving, smart manufacturing, and robotics. The partnership also leverages Nvidia's Isaac robotics platform and Omniverse simulation environment for digital twin technology.

Hyundai's approximately 80% stake in Boston Dynamics gives this partnership a unique edge. The Atlas humanoid robot is central to the strategy, evolving into a fully electric platform for real-world tasks.

For Nvidia, this reinforces its pivot to physical AI. For Hyundai, it combines autonomous driving through Motional, smart manufacturing, and humanoid robotics under one software-defined mobility vision.
