Nvidia announced a $2 billion investment in artificial intelligence cloud company Nebius, further expanding the chipmaker's stake in AI firms and data center infrastructure.
Nebius, an Nvidia customer, plans to deploy over 5 gigawatts of data center capacity by the end of 2030, enough power for more than 4 million U.S. households.
This move aligns with Nvidia's strategy of investing heavily in the AI ecosystem and data center build-out. Nebius is a prominent "neocloud" firm, specializing in AI infrastructure tailored for tech clients, with significant past deals including $17 billion with Microsoft and $3 billion with Meta Platforms.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated the partnership will scale Nebius to meet the "surging global demand for intelligence."
