Robinhood's new blockchain is moving significant volume. The permissionless Ethereum Layer-2, built on Arbitrum, is processing roughly 1.7 million transactions per day from approximately 50,000 daily active users.
The chain operates with 100-millisecond block times and uses ETH as its native gas token. It supports tokenized equities from companies like NVIDIA and Apple, which can be traded continuously and used in DeFi protocols. Key integrations include Uniswap, Chainlink, and Alchemy.
To drive adoption, Robinhood is subsidizing gas fees for eligible wallet users for the first 90 days. HOOD shares climbed 4-8% following the announcement. Analysts are now watching whether user activity sustains once the free gas period concludes.
