Revolut, Nvidia Deploy PRAGMA AI to Revolutionize Banking Fraud Detection

Revolut has deployed PRAGMA, a transformer-based AI model built with Nvidia, trained on 40 billion banking events from 25 million users across 111 countries. This unified system replaces multiple specialized models for fraud detection and credit scoring.

Internal benchmarks show a 64.7% improvement in fraud recall and 16.7% higher precision over existing tools. Credit scoring achieved a 130% uplift in PR-AUC.

The model runs on Nvidia H100 GPUs via Nebius AI Cloud, with variants from 10 million to 1 billion parameters. The largest used 64 GPUs, while smaller models enable real-time transaction evaluation. The research was presented at Nvidia GTC 2026.

The approach reduces dependence on handcrafted features, streamlining maintenance.
