Samsung Electronics has named Lee Won-jin as the new head of its Visual Display Business, replacing Yong Seok-woo after more than two years. The change comes as the company faces increasing competition from Chinese competitors in both domestic and global markets. Lee, previously Head of the Global Marketing Office, steps into the role immediately. Yong will stay on as an adviser. Samsung typically conducts its annual management reshuffle in December; it did not disclose the reason for this off-cycle change.
