The Solana-based project known as 'World' has officially launched, revealing itself as a fully onchain prediction market. The platform is now accessible at world.xyz and directly within Phantom wallet applications on iOS, Android, and desktop.
The platform allows users to trade event contracts on crypto prices and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with plans to expand into sports, geopolitics, and macroeconomics. Trades are non-custodial, settling directly from a user's Solana wallet using Phantom’s CASH stablecoin. The system uses Chainlink Data Streams to automate market data and settlement, aiming to reduce reliance on human-led resolution.
Pedro Miranda, head of consumer at the Solana Foundation, stated the project is designed to showcase the network's capability for real-time markets and seamless onchain settlement. World’s launch follows the debut of Jupiter's Forecast beta, another Solana-native prediction market. The Phantom integration is the first of several planned distribution partnerships this month.
