London police are investigating a suspected antisemitic hate crime after four ambulances belonging to Hatzola Northwest, a volunteer emergency medical service, were set ablaze in Golders Green early Monday morning.
The fire, which caused multiple gas cylinder explosions, damaged nearby buildings and prompted evacuations of adjacent flats. No injuries were reported.
Police Superintendent Sarah Jackson confirmed authorities are seeking three suspects but have made no arrests. The attack occurred near Machzike Hadath Synagogue.
Shomrim, a local neighborhood watch group, condemned the act as a targeted assault on a critical community service. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer denounced the attack as 'deeply shocking' and reaffirmed that antisemitism has no place in society.
The incident adds to a surge in antisemitic attacks across the U.K., with the Community Security Trust reporting 3,700 incidents in 2025-more than double the 2022 total.
