An arson attempt at a London synagogue overnight caused minor smoke damage, marking the third incident targeting Jewish sites in Britain this week. The Metropolitan Police discovered damage to the window of the Kenton United Synagogue in Harrow, with evidence of an accelerant being thrown inside.

British Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis stated the attacks indicate a "sustained campaign of violence and intimidation" against the UK's Jewish community. Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the acts as "abhorrent" and vowed pursuit of those responsible.

Counterterrorism police are investigating a series of arson or attempted arson attacks on Jewish properties in London over the past month. These incidents include attacks on a former Jewish charity building in Hendon, a synagogue in Finchley, and torched ambulances in Golders Green. A group with alleged links to Iran has claimed responsibility for some attacks. The Community Security Trust recorded 3,700 antisemitic incidents in the UK in 2025.
