A bombing at the Dali nightclub in Trujillo, Peru, has injured at least 33 people, including teenagers.
The early Saturday morning explosion occurred in a province along Peru's northern coast, a region recently affected by violence and crime.
At least five of the injured are in serious condition, some requiring amputations and treatment for shrapnel wounds. Among the injured are a 16-year-old and two 17-year-olds.
This blast follows a similar incident last month that damaged homes but caused no injuries. The La Libertad region is reportedly rife with extortion and illegal mining, with organized criminal gangs implicated in such incidents.
