Russian attacks killed two civilians and injured four others in Ukraine's Sumy Oblast overnight. National police confirmed a 64-year-old woman died from drone strikes in Bilopol, while guided aerial bombs claimed the life of a 57-year-old woman in Seredino-Budsk. Authorities report shelling across 17 communities utilizing artillery, mortars, and FPV drones.

In retaliation, Ukrainian forces struck industrial targets up to 700 kilometers inside Russian territory. The Azot chemical plant in Novomoskovsk, Tula Oblast, was set ablaze. This facility is Russia’s largest producer of ammonia and nitrogen fertilizer. Independent monitors also confirmed fires at an oil depot in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Oblast.

Tula Oblast Governor Dmitriy Milayev acknowledged the attack on Novomoskovsk but attributed damage to falling drone fragments rather than a direct hit. Concurrently, independent reports indicate strikes on railway infrastructure in Oryal. These operations follow confirmed Ukrainian attacks on the Afipsky Oil Refinery and a military component factory in Cheboksary earlier this week.
