Five survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse gathered for the first time to share their experiences with BBC Newsnight. Their accounts detail manipulation, sexual assault, and encounters with high-profile figures connected to Epstein-including Bill Clinton, Kevin Spacey, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Prince Andrew (formerly Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor).
Joanna Harrison, speaking publicly for the first time, described being assaulted at 18 during what began as a massage. “I completely froze,” she said. Like others, she never expected her identity to surface when U.S. authorities released unredacted court documents.
Chauntae Davies recalled traveling with Epstein, Clinton, and Spacey on a humanitarian trip across Africa. She gave Clinton a massage during a refuel stop in Portugal and helped him buy jewelry for his daughter. Despite proximity to power, she never disclosed Epstein’s crimes. “What would he have done, really?”

Davies and Lisa Phillips described Epstein’s New Mexico Zorro Ranch as “eerie” and “creepy”-the site of repeated assaults. Phillips recounted how Epstein smirked when asked why he forced a young woman to have sex with Prince Andrew: “I like to have things on people.” She added, “He liked the fear in our eyes.”

All five women expressed doubt they’d ever see justice. Epstein died in federal custody in August 2019-an apparent suicide they reject. “We knew him,” Phillips said. “He wouldn’t kill himself.”
Viewing childhood photos during the interview, Harrison reflected: “I don’t smile the same way anymore.”
