SEOUL: A fire at a car parts factory in Daejeon, South Korea, killed 10 people, injured 59, and left four missing, according to officials.

Rescue workers recovered 10 bodies from the wreckage, with 25 seriously injured and 34 moderately hurt. Over 500 emergency personnel fought the blaze, which broke out Friday afternoon and spread rapidly after an explosion.

Firefighters used robots to cool the structure and prevent it from collapsing. The factory, owned by Anjun Industrial, supplies parts to Hyundai and Kia.

The fire was contained late Friday night, but the cause remains under investigation.
