US television anchor Savannah Guthrie and her family are urgently appealing for public assistance in locating her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing since February 1.
Authorities believe Nancy was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona home. Surveillance footage shows a masked, possibly armed individual tampering with a camera the night she vanished.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Office, working with the FBI, says she may have been specifically targeted, though they are not certain. No suspects have been identified.
The family has offered a $1 million reward for information leading to her safe return, supplementing the FBI’s $100,000 bounty. They urge anyone with surveillance, messages, or observations to come forward.
"We miss our mom with every breath," the family said. "Someone knows something. No detail is too small."
Savannah Guthrie and her siblings continue to make emotional appeals, including direct messages to the abductor, as the nationwide search intensifies.
