Hezbollah confirmed direct engagements with Israeli forces advancing toward Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon. The militant group stated its fighters utilized rocket barrages and light weapons to repel troops approaching the border zone on Thursday and Friday.
The Israel Defense Forces simultaneously issued evacuation orders for three additional southern villages. Strikes have continued across the region, including areas outside designated warning zones. Humanitarian access remains restricted after Israeli troops diverted a Vatican aid convoy intended for Christian villages.
Diplomatic efforts to halt the violence have stalled. Hezbollah rejected a conditional truce proposed during recent talks in Washington, citing the agreement's failure to mandate an Israeli withdrawal or cessation of strikes. Iran maintains that any resolution to the wider regional conflict must include Lebanon. Since hostilities escalated in March, more than 3,700 people have been killed in Lebanon.
