The Israeli military confirmed that Ibrahim Muhammad Ghazali, brother of Ayman Mohamad Ghazali accused in the Michigan synagogue attack, was a Hezbollah commander eliminated in a recent airstrike.

Ibrahim was responsible for managing weapons operations within a U.S.-designated terrorist group, which launched hundreds of rockets at Israeli civilians. A Lebanese official confirmed he was killed along with his children and brother in the strike on their home.

Ayman Ghazali, a 41-year-old U.S. citizen born in Lebanon, rammed a truck into Temple Israel near Detroit after learning of his family’s deaths. He waited for two hours with explosives and gasoline, then opened fire before dying by suicide when his vehicle caught fire.

No fatalities occurred, but a security guard was injured and dozens of officers suffered smoke inhalation. The FBI called it a targeted act of violence against the Jewish community.
